Constance has worked in the non-profit arena for many years—more than 20 of them with colleague and MNA executive director, Robin Bates. A native San Franciscan, Bryan lived in France and studied French language and culture at the Université de Paris, Sorbonne.
Upon her return to the States, Bryan worked at the historic Alliance Française de San Francisco where she further perfected her French fluency. She was instrumental in maintaining the institution operationally during several periods of major transition before moving on to work in higher education. Bryan is intrigued by the complex relationship between France and the African diaspora. She regards MNA as a perfect vehicle for lending her talents and passion to articulating, highlighting and expanding that relationship both on the local and international stage.
Bryan is dedicated to preserving the African American presence in San Francisco. She is an evangelist of travel as a means of personal and professional growth, and she supports honest media, as well as various national and international charitable organizations. Bryan travels regularly, (her new favorite destination is Senegal), and she lives in San Francisco with her husband and son.
