Sunday April 16th, Afro Cooking will be at Galeries Lafayette for a second time, taking adventurous Parisians on a culinary voyage through Africa. Led by Julia Kass Mapsi of the blog “Popo Loves Cooking“, the two hour atelier will start with dishes from Guinea and end with an introduction to spices from Africa (Selim pepper from Togo, Penja pepper from Cameroon, from Senegal ntetou, gnangnan from Côte d’Ivoire and vanilla from Madagascar). The afternoon’s treat? A spicy gingerbread, accompanied by a warm bissap, an herbal beverage made from hibiscus flowers.
